It's All About Balance

I used the die cut butterfly to balance the "birthday" stamped in the bottom left hand side of the card design. The two layers of the butterfly were cut out of two colours of cardstock found in the scrap of patterned paper.

I used the pieces that popped out of the die cut to "frame" the sentiment on the top and bottom.

My New Sizzix "Happy" Die

I found yet another way to use up scraps of patterned paper!  The top hat was die cut from the Sizzix Snowman Die set.

I needed a "yellow" Glimmermist to colour the paper flowers to match the patterned paper and was pleased to discover that Gold was actually yellow!
