Let's Take It Up a Notch
The larger, 4 X 4 card nicely accommodates this butterfly die cut. I enhanced it by covering the body with rhinestones. The solid layer was cut from green vellum. More cards of this size to follow.

Unfrogettable
Can't recall how I did this, but it involved a Cuttlebug die. I gave him a little personality with google eyes and a bow tie. Another good idea for a "guy" card.

If the Sentiment Fits
Though not circular, this sentiment fit into a circular die cut, perfect for the face of this card. It could be used with a gift of congratulations.

Buckle Down
To enhance another masculine card, I fed the blue ribbon through a silver, ribbon die cut. It made me think of a man's belt buckle.

Making it Work
I took the piece of scrap cardstock and used it as it was; a shape of genuine interest. Also, in this case I didn't have letter stickers to match, so I cut out the letters from the same cardstock used for the card base.

A Round Card?
Why not? As long as the circumference of the card base is not completely cut from the folded cardstock, the card base will stay intact. A unique twist on a smaller sized card. Chicken image was part of the patterned paper.

A Daisy of a Different Pattern
Rather than punch a daisy out of a solid colour, I made a coordinating embellishment by using the same patterned paper on the border of the card. For a different texture, I used velvet ribbon. Suitable card for an Easter basket.

An Elephant Never Forgets--But I Did!
Though this card could naturally be used for a little boy's birthday gift, it could also make a good belated birthday card. The grey argyle patterned paper works well with the elephant. Zoo animals are quite popular at this time and can be found in both patterned papers and stamps.

You're the Cherry on Top
This is a perfect card to accommodate a summer birthday present. Although from two different stamp companies, the inside sentiment went perfectly with the cone, so I bought them to use as a pair. It read, "You're the Cherry on Top". I inked the corners of the stamped image to coordinate it with the already aged patterned paper.

No Words Necessary
I used a coordinating patterned paper to die cut a flower to embellish this card. Once again, the size of the embellishment didn't leave room for a sentiment on the outside, so I put it on the inside of the card.

Let's Downsize
In a continued effort to use up scraps, I will share many 3 X 3 cards I have made. I incorporate the same ideas in these smaller cards that I use in standard sized cards.
I have used part of a stamped image to make it proportional to the size of the card.

On Many Levels
I've admired many cards lately that have used at least three different strips of patterned paper, of different heights, for the background of the card. What a great way to use up scraps and make an interesting "canvas" for a card front. I finished the card with a sentiment and a flower. Note that the edges of all of the different pieces of patterned paper were inked in the same colour, giving the card a finished look.
