Paper Piece a Corner

Without an appropriate embellishment to balance my card front, I chose to pierce a pattern large enough to balance the weight of the framed sticker. This is another quick and easy technique to use when making cards.

On Many Levels

I've admired many cards lately that have used at least three different strips of patterned paper, of different heights, for the background of the card. What a great way to use up scraps and make an interesting "canvas" for a card front. I finished the card with a sentiment and a flower. Note that the edges of all of the different pieces of patterned paper were inked in the same colour, giving the card a finished look.

Faux Stitching

I'll admit it--I'm too lazy to lug out a sewing machine to make a card. Instead, I paper pierced the holes in the top layer of this card and connected them with a white gel pen. Bet you couldn't tell?!

Paper Pierce a Border

Once again the versatility of a product can be seen when we use part of it. In this case, I used part of a stencil to create a border for this card.

Using a Partial Image

Once again, rather than use the entire image of a stamp, I used part of one by cutting out a mask with an opening the size of the centre of this card. This allowed me to avoid getting ink on the paper piercing on the front of the card.
