I received this image in an image swap. Many years ago, it was commonplace for stampers to participate in swaps; each participant would mail the hostess multiples of the same stamped image (in black ink on white cardstock), along with a self-addressed, postage paid, envelope. The hostess would redistribute one of each of the different images to the participants and mail them back. It was a good way to try to use images and then decide if this was a stamp that you would want to own.
