Half Full

By masking the bottom half of the flower stamp before inking it, I could leave space within my circle die cut to put a sentiment. Make sure that your flower and sentiment are proportional to your die cut shape.

Glitter Ribbon

Just as I used microbeads on the last card to create a ribbon border, I used glitter on this card. It also complimented the Liquid Shimmers I used to paint the stamped image. Once again, I framed it using the Distress Ink with the rectangular die adhered to the die cut.

A Ribbon of Beads

Since I didn't have a coordinating ribbon to use as a border, I used green microbeads on double sided tape. The little bit of bling complimented the Liquid Shimmers I used to paint the cupcakes. Once again, I left the Spellbinders die on the die cut image and applied Distress Ink to create an off white frame.

Baby Boy?

A smaller stamped image allowed for a bolder patterned paper. This one was chosen with a masculine card in mind. Silver embellishments were used for this reason too.

Baby Oh Baby!

This tiny patterned paper is perfect to support a larger stamped image such as this. Colours were drawn from the paper to paint the mice and choose the layering papers.

Think Seasonal

Sometimes it's nice to send a card that's "in season". I plan to use this birthday card for a June birthday, when the strawberries are a plenty. Though I often find large, detailed images limiting, I was happy with the resulting image when I cut it to fit my card front.

Same Image, Different Shape

Here we see how the shape that the image is cut is relative to the shape of the card base. A circle better fits a square card than an oval image.

Pop a Piece

In this case I tried to think outside of the box and not just frame the image. After cutting out most of the image with a die, I cut out one extra strawberry to give the card more dimension. This image was not received in a swap, but one of a few I have collected since enjoying other House Mouse stamped images I received.

Warm 'n Fuzzy

This image provides a great opportunity to use flocking. It makes the white socks very realistic.
The pants were stamped again on a slightly patterned denim paper and trimmed to fit on the originally stamped image. The mouse in the pocket was also stamped a second time and trimmed to fit in the pocket. This labour of love was well worth the effort.

Merry Christmas,
Natalie

3 Tiers for You

I'm pretty sure that this stamped image is from Stampendous and although I don't own it, I would love to have it. Stamping white on kraft is a new combination that I really like and red works well with this.

Satin Roses

Though image swappers always write the stamp company name on the back of the image, I forgot to take note before I put this card together. I love how this image "spills" over the frame. Liquid Shimmers gave the roses a very satin look.

Fabulous Fake Fur

Here I have used a variety of finishes and textures to decorate this image. I used a shimmery paint on his beard to give it a smooth and silky look. Although the trim of his hat is also white, I wanted to give it texture and sparkle so I used Polar White Flower Soft.
