Embossing Only with Spellbinder Dies

For this wedding card I used a blank, premade card as my base. Using the appropriate sandwich in my Big Shot, I dry embossed the Gold Labels Four design. Subsequently, I stamped my sentiment/image within this area. Paper flowers and a ribbon bow were adhered with Glossy Accents.

An Old Fashioned

Nothing unique about this card design, but I was pleased with the combination of patterned papers. Placing the larger pattern on the bottom and the smaller on the top seem to give the design proper "weight".

Note: the descriptions of the Valentines which follow may be "lacking" because I mailed the cards out before I had a chance to write the copy for them--sorry.

An Old Fashioned

This is a perfect example of using Distress Inks to colour a stamped image so that it coordinates with patterned papers. This image was stamped on white cardstock and coloured with pink and brown Distress Inks.

Hearts & Roses

With a Victorian theme in mind, I chose this ornate heart image to stamp, a paper rose and a damask embossing folder.

Roses

This new embossing folder by Cart-us is my favourite, not only because of the beautiful design, but because of the non-linear pattern. Linear patterns require straight cutting, otherwise the design looks crooked.

Painted Roses

I can't say enough about the paper flowers from I Am Roses. Deb is working on carrying this product line. I chose white flowers in order to colour them as I choose, with Glimmer Mist. In this case, I used Chalkboard Cotton Candy. The flowers dried variegated, making them look very realistic. Iused a chipboard die cut heart to support them. The blurry scan (due to the dimension of the card front), does not do this card justice.
