Circles, Circles, Dots

With the snowball theme in mind, I chose the Polka Dot embossing folder and a circular shaped rhinestone element.

FYI

If you're wondering why cards are being posted without any copy, I'm afraid that I have a few family medical issues pending. Enjoy the cards. If you have any questions, please post or e-mail and I'll answer them when time permits.

A Few Ideas for St. Pat's Day

I made two versions of the same card, only because I only had enough sticker letter tiles for one and wanted to "show some warmth" to my alphabet stamp set. The clover is made out of 8 die cut hearts, each folded in half. Each leaf is composed of two hearts, adhered to the face of the card with glue dots. Though the scanner flattened the petals, they lift enough to give the card a little dimension.

Tied with a Bow

Because this snowman was somewhat more whimsical, I used chunky glitter on the snowballs. I used the ribbon in a way to simulate a wrapped present.

Birthday Card Club Update

A friendly reminder to all members that we have one Birthday Baby in April.

Juggling Snowballs

To bring attention to these snowballs, I used clear rhinestones. When I passed the image through the Big Shot, they cracked, giving them even a more "ice like" appearance. Fortunately, they didn't fall apart.

Thinking of You

The look on this polar bear's face brought to mind "Thinking of You".

Star Border

I used the same die cut stars that I used on a previous card, but this time I arranged them to create a border for the top of the card.

Sparkling Stars

To carry on with the stars in the stamped image, I die cut stars out of glitter paper. Chalk always leaves a more realistic blush mark for cheeks than markers.

Happy Days

The raised plaid panel on this card design warranted a 6 X 6 card base. It was popped with adhesive foam squares, creating dimension with the two dimensional space around the stamped image.

A Big Red Bow

Same image, but dressed up with a big red bow. Red and denim seem to be another natural colour choice.

Pattern on Pattern

For more interest, I stamped and embossed the snowflakes with glitter embossing powder on the patterned paper. I did so in such a way that they framed the stamped image. Embossing powder comes in a variety of ways, including with glitter. The snowmen were heat embossed with black glitter embossing powder.

Papers: blue cardstock (Bazzill), white cardstock (Georgia Pacific), patterned paper (?)

A Touch of Velvet

This time I framed the image with a Spellbinder die cut and added a little "warmth" to the design with some velvet ribbon. Because this type of ribbon is really one sided, it's best to tie a knot, rather than a bow.

Stamp: Hero Arts
Papers: white cardstock (Georgia Pacific), black cardstock (Bazzill)

Another Birthday Card Club Update

The Club is now established! Members are still being accepted. I will try to issue reminders to members around the middle of each month (this time it will be around March 15th) of the upcoming birthdays for the following month (this time it will be April 2012). I look forward to this great opportunity to share with others.

Bead It

Found a great way to use up those alphabet beads I bought some time ago. I strung them on a light gauged wire which I poked through the stamped image and secured with tape on the back.
